Spreading out on the 9th floor of a building facing the Tenjinbashi shopping district is an area that is a life-size reconstruction of the townscape of Osaka from the Edo period.
There, you can enjoy various events while feeling the history of Osaka.

In the exhibition room on the 9th floor, there is a life-size reproduction of an Osaka townhouse from the Tenpo era (1830s).

You can travel back 200 years and experience the bustle of Osaka’s merchant houses, the decorations of the Tenjin Festival, seasonal events, and daily life.

The history from civilization and enlightenment to Osaka’s development, war damage and post-war reconstruction is recreated with elaborate models.

Both sides of the main street are lined with life-sized merchant houses, town halls, fire watchtowers, and bathhouses, and a day in town is condensed into 45 minutes, presented with sound, light, and images.

You can even touch some of the exhibits, giving you a closer feel of what life was like back then.
